Customer requested an illustrated back of a moonshiner shack with a Still, a moonshiner playing banjo and an old Harley. Artist John Gooch did the line drawings as separate elements that were then scanned in and assigned to me to add color. The foreground bike was colored as a pristine condition bike for internal clip art use, then duplicated and color corrected to a rust color and texture. Then the pristine bike was masked to reveal the rust bike underneath, giving the bike an old, neglected look. John was happy with the look of the final art, and so was the customer.
